The Human Resources (HR) Strategy and Operations organization sets HR strategy, manages HR deliverables, fosters integration between HR organizations to create synergy and improved processes, and provides data analysis to support mission delivery.


As the HR Data Analyst and Reporting Specialist, you will collaborate with HR organizational leaders to identify informational needs and to produce organizational reports. You will partner with business and mission area stakeholders to analyze company human resources data to develop and execute strategic initiatives. In this role, you will acquire data, clean and organize it for analysis, and analyze the data to identify trends and patterns in order to derive conclusions or insights to make predictions. You will design and maintain human resources data analysis and data mining tools, and related policies, processes and procedures, to transform HR data into compelling visuals and dashboards used to communicate key metrics and inform strategic business decisions.

In this position, you will combine Human Resources knowledge, information retrieval and analysis skills, and the ability to train and to communicate reports to all levels of employees and management.

Minimum Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree: Minimum 9 years of relevant experience.  Typical relevant experience ranging from 10 to 15 years.
  • Master’s degree: Minimum 7 years of relevant experience. Typical relevant experience ranging from 10 to 15 years.
  • Seventeen or more years of education and/or experience may be considered to satisfy educational and years-of-experience requirements for this posting.
Preferred Job Requirements
Education
  • Degree in field such as Data Analytics, Applied Mathematics or Statistics, Data Science, or Management Information Systems
Development and Execution of tools:
  • Excel skill level needed: Advanced to Expert
  • Experience with Tableau, Python, R, SQL, Microsoft Access, SAP, SuccessFactors preferred but not required
  • Experience with programming complex and compound formulas to execute logical calculations and to create data compilations
  • Experience with creating reporting architecture to integrate multiple fi les and data sources in a streamlined and consistent approach
  • Ability to understand process impacts upstream and downstream
  • Ability to meet rigorous deliverable schedules
  • Ability to interpret data and transform into useful metrics and visualizations
  • Exceptional attention to detail to report data accurately with a strong focus on data integrity
Process and Project Management skills:
  • Ability to identify and review potential enhancements to meet business needs while ensuring alignment with existing tools and processes
  • Proven ability to complete enhancements and product releases for on time delivery
  • Cross functional capabilities to allow understanding of business execution (dollars, hours, and headcount)to ensure understanding of requirements for all users to identify needed architectural design of process and tools to promote collaboration and meet all needs
  • Ability to understand business/organizational strategy, then develop metrics to measure performance and trends
Training and Presentation experience:
  • Ability to deliver targeted trainings and presentations for all user groups and customers (including federal customers and vice presidents to end user) for all products under management

Data Tracing or Audit experience:

  • Ability to review given data sets and create quality components within all processes to ensure data integrity between the system of record and all end products

Customer Focus/Engagement:

  • Ability to understand the unique variables affecting each organization in order to deliver meaningful data tailored to each organization
