Second shift schedule (Monday - Friday 2:00pm – 10:30pm) with occasional weekend work

The Warehouse Coordinator is responsible for a variety of routine administrative and receiving tasks for the North Texas Food Bank to ensure that the department’s operations are maximizing efficiency to achieve company goals. This position will enter all order receipt information and provide extensive customer service, both internal and external.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

Education: 

• High school diploma or GED required

Special Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: 

• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication and customer service skills

• Excellent organizational skills, self-starter and ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word and Excel)

• ERP experience a plus

• Knowledge of warehouse safety regulations preferred

Experience:

• Two years in shipping, receiving, and inventory control

• Experience operating an electric pallet jack and/or forklift preferred

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Answer and respond to all Receiving department phone calls

• Direct walk-up traffic to the distribution facility

• Manage and schedule the receiving dock calendar per guidelines and to maximize receipt of product

• Receive, manage and input all necessary information into Ceres system to complete the order receipt process on time

• Coordinate all organizational documentation needed for complete input into Ceres and required recordkeeping with Sourcing, Transportation and Accounting departments

• Report any problems/issues with inbound product, such as damage, spoilage, etc. to the Warehouse Receiving Manager

• Complete retail store program donation receipts and all required USDA receipt reporting and record-keeping

• Perform quality control validation of incoming receipts

• Complete additional Ceres system tasks related to Receiving, Inventory, and Distribution

• Perform required before-, during-, and after-operation user maintenance of designated equipment and provide required reports

• Monitor the warehouse receiving docks to ensure they are cleared of product and debris in a timely manner to maintain safety and compliance at all times

• Complete any necessary equipment trainings as mandated

• Perform any other tasks and duties as assigned

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop; kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear.

• Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus

• Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and operate a forklift

ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS:

• Moderate to loud noise (e.g., medium to heavy traffic in the warehouse with forklifts and pallet jacks) 

• The person must have the ability to work in varying internal (hot and cold) temperature levels in the warehouse.
