6) --- JOB DESCRIPTION & REQUIREMENTS

 

This role works from the Magnolia Table operation in Waco, Texas reporting to the Assistant Front of House Manager, and also may have supervisory responsibilities. The Front of House Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the front of house staff. This position works with Magnolia Table management to ensure efficiency, cleanliness, and the highest quality food and guest experience.  

  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Uphold Magnolia’s manifesto and values 
  • Ensure the highest level of guest care, in line with Magnolia’s brand  
  • Create weekly schedules and zone charts for front of house staff 
  • Coordinate with front of house, back of house, and retail operations regarding guest flow and seating, kitchen prep times, employee coverage of all areas, communicating correct wait times to guests, etc. 
  • Train and develop restaurant leaders 
  • Communicate consistently, accurately, and quickly to employees regarding any changes, low-stocked items during daily operations, floor chart or server section changes, etc. 
  • Ensure staff has a thorough knowledge of all menu items, including seasonal items 
  • Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety standards  
  • Contribute to a high-energy, fast-paced environment 
  • Perform other duties as assigned 

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Hard skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Aloha, and Netsuite preferred 
  • Soft skills: Strong verbal communication skills, strong organizational and follow-through skills, high level of ownership and initiative
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year college or university preferred
  • Experience: 2-4+ years of related work experience preferred OR an equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • Special training or licenses/certifications: Texas Food Manager’s license required, TABC Certification required
  • General availability: Must be available to work flexible hours as assigned, including weekends, special events, and holidays  

PHYSICAL DEMANDS 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands and arms to reach, handle, feel; utilize fine motor dexterity of fingers; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee is frequently required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. WORK ENVIRONMENT 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee operates in a fast-paced kitchen environment. This role routinely uses sinks, dishwashers, and tools to clean kitchen appliances. The employee is frequently exposed to hot water, potentially slippery floors, garbage disposals, and cleaning chemicals. The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is intermittent sounds at a level sufficient to cause hearing loss or fatigue. The employee is subject to high temperatures and low temperatures. The employee is exposed to workplace hazards.
