At Magnolia, the Recruiting Coordinator is responsible for recruiting, researching, interviewing, screening, and referring ideal job candidates for various positions throughout the company. This position also assists in overseeing the pre-arrival and onboarding process for new employees. This position works from Magnolia Headquarters in Waco, Texas. It reports to the Recruiting Manager and has no supervisory responsibilities.  

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Uphold Magnolia’s manifesto and values 
  • Confer with managers and People Team leadership to identify personnel needs 
  • Educate hiring managers in recruiting philosophy, policy, and process 
  • Assist with job description development, including the assessment of job specifications, duties, and qualifications 
  • Assist in maintaining a recruitment program that ensures compliance with all local, state, and federal requirements and is within budget allocation 
  • Review applications and interview applicants to obtain work history, education, training, job skills, and salary requirements, and provide information about the organization and position to applicants 
  • Write job postings, coordinate internal job posting program, and utilize online resources to market to potential candidates 
  • Assist in maintaining accurate documentation of internal hiring and transfer processes 
  • Represent Magnolia at local and online job fairs 
  • Organize mass interview events for guest-facing business entities as required for hiring needs 
  • Assist with the Magnolia Internship Program 
  • Arrange interview schedule, travel, and lodging for out-of-town interviewees 
  • Perform reference and background checks on applicants and organize the pre-arrival onboarding process
  • Support onboarding process for new employees as needed
  • File and maintain employment records for future reference
  • Perform other duties as assigned  

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Hard skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required 
  • Soft skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational and prioritization skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment while remaining calm and organized, ability to act with discretion and maintain confidentiality, desire to engage with others and improve processes 
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year college or university preferred 
  • Experience: 1-2+ years of related work experience preferred 
  • General availability: Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and special events as business needs require  

PHYSICAL DEMANDS 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit; use hands and arms to reach, handle, feel; utilize fine motor dexterity of fingers; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee is frequently required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. WORK ENVIRONMENT 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
